WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable process, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports. A key focus of this role is ensuring adherence to internal control policies and providing essential support during month-end closing and audit. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills, proactive approach, and are able to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
- Review and verify expense reports and invoices for accuracy, proper coding and compliance with company policies
- Prepare vendor payments accurately and on time, ensuring proper authorization and sufficient supporting documentation
- Conduct due diligence when registering new vendor accounts and verifying banking information
- Reconcile AP transactions and resolve discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders
- Respond promptly to internal and external inquiries related to accounts payable and expense submissions
- Proactively follow up with requestors and approvers on pending invoices and expense reports
- Prepare journal entries, accruals and monthly reports for DAA funds
- Perform monthly variance analysis on Accounts Payable balances, providing explanations for significant changes
- Support external audit by responding to inquiries and providing required documents for interview and testing
- Document desk procedures and perform other related duties as required
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Completion of an undergraduate degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related field
- 5 years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Proficient in SAP and Concur
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent time management skills
