WHAT YOU WILL DO

This role plays a key part in strengthening the Genesis brand in Canada by leading initiatives that support network strategy, enhance distributor performance, and provide actionable financial insights.

As a central point of coordination, the position works cross-functionally to manage distributor appointments, oversee retail network expansion, and drive strategic initiatives aligned with Genesis’ long-term growth objectives. With the rollout of the Genesis Retail Experience (GRX) centres, this role will contribute directly to building a premium, customer-focused retail footprint across the country, including oversight of site development and construction activities.

The role also delivers data-driven insights to support executive decision-making on network performance and profitability. It offers high visibility and exposure to senior leadership while requiring close collaboration with Genesis Headquarters in Korea (GHQ), Genesis Motor North America (GMNA), Canadian headquarters, regional teams, and external partners. The position involves handling sensitive and confidential information and influencing key business decisions.

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Network Strategy & Distributor Management
•    Assist in the development and execution of Genesis’ national network strategy, including market analysis, open points, and relocations
•    Support the review and onboarding process for new Distributor appointments, ensuring alignment with corporate standards and timelines
•    Collaborate with Regional Distributor Development Managers to support the preparation of proposal materials and presentations for the Dealer Appointment Committee
•    Assist in ensuring compliance with Distributor Agreements, including documentation management, execution, and ongoing governance
•    Support coordination with the legal team on the structuring, negotiation, and execution of agreements, and help track and manage network-related risks or issues
•    Provide support as a point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and professional communications
•    Assist with the planning and execution of Distributor network meetings and strategic workshops


Retail Network & GRX Program Delivery
•    Support the implementation and ongoing management of the Canadian GRX image program, ensuring alignment with global brand standards
•    Assist in project coordination for retail facility development from planning through completion, helping to track timelines, budgets, and quality expectations
•    Coordinate with cross-functional teams (internal and external) to support delivery of corporate-supported retail projects
•    Assist in maintaining consistency and continuous improvement of Genesis brand standards across all retail locations
•    Support liaison efforts with GHQ and GMNA on GRX approvals, global initiatives, and future-forward strategies such as electrification
•    Contribute to high-profile projects, including flagship and boutique locations (e.g., Pearson International Airport)
•    Support initiatives to enhance the customer retail experience and elevate brand presence in the market


Financial Analysis & Reporting
•    Assist in the development and enhancement of Distributor financial reporting frameworks to generate actionable profitability insights
•    Support financial analysis to inform strategic decisions on network performance and investment priorities
•    Prepare and maintain monthly reporting and support executive-level quarterly reviews
•    Assist in monitoring departmental budgets, forecasts, and accruals to ensure financial discipline and transparency
•    Support analysis of sales, registration data, and market share trends to strengthen Genesis’ competitive positioning
•    Maintain and help improve data integrity within the SAP Network Database and related systems
•    Assist in identifying performance gaps, risks, and growth opportunities across the network through data analysis

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in the same or similar function, with automotive experience being desirable
  • Completion of an undergraduate degree, preferably in Business Administration/B. Comm or an equivalent combination of experience and education
  • Strong ability to handle and review legal documentation, with attention to accuracy and compliance requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly present ideas to diverse audiences, including senior leadership and external partners
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables, VLOOKUP, and data analysis tools)
  • Strong presentation skills, with advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint and the ability to develop executive-level materials
  •  Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail and data accuracy
  •  Effective time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
  •   Proactive, adaptable, and results-oriented, with a strong desire to learn and continuously improve
  •  Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  •  Demonstrated ability to manage projects and coordinate multiple stakeholders to deliver results on time and within scope
  •   Strong business and financial acumen, with the ability to interpret financial statements and generate actionable insights
  •   Experience with automotive systems (e.g., SAP, eComposite, IHS, Salesforce) is considered an asset
  • Familiarity with retail network development, facility planning, or construction project coordination is an asset
  •   French language proficiency is preferred but not required
  •  Legal education or experience working with legal contracts or documentation would be considered a strong asset

Hiring Range: $60,000 - $75,000

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate's relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity

Starting salary is typically offered in the lower to mid portion of the range, with placement determined by the successful candidate’s skills, experience, and internal equity considerations. Candidates with exceptional qualifications and directly relevant experience may be considered for compensation up to the maximum of the range.
