WHAT YOU WILL DO
The position’s primary purpose is to provide technical training to Hyundai dealership Technicians and company employees based on Hyundai Technologies and New Models. The trainer will demonstrate proper technique, and safety procedures, including EV technologies - through hands-on training and classroom instruction - which are essential skills for Hyundai automotive technicians.
HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT
• Design and deliver technical training programs targeting Dealership Technicians and Hyundai Corporate employees
• Assist in developing new courses relative to new and/or modified products
• Prepare training materials and aids such as presentations, flipcharts, handouts, practical activities and participant assessments & evaluations
• Oversee the Zone Training Facility and assets
• Offer recommendations on new service and repair products and special service tools/equipment
• Attend Hyundai Motor Company (“HMC”) hosted technical training courses
• Support development of Training resources as a Subject Matter Expert
• Assess training needs and work closely with the team to schedule training to best suit dealer network requirements
• Maintain course registrations by working with Zone to maximize enrollments and participation
• Report training participation in the Learning Management System on a daily/course basis
• Remain abreast of new developments, methods and techniques in Hyundai technical and training fields
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
• 5-7 years of relevant experience in the same or similar positions
• Completion of a secondary school diploma and college, e.g., diploma /Certificate / trade license, or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• Previous experience as an automotive technical trainer would be desirable
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities
• Highly competent facilitation, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to prepare, reproduce, and deliver training materials
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
• Knowledge of adult learning principles
• Customer focused and service oriented
• Demonstrated organizational and planning skills
• Proven automotive service technician skills
• Strong collaboration skills
• Self-motivated and well organized – a continuous student of automotive technologies
• Strong automotive technical and analytical skills - required
• Solid automotive electrical theory and diagnostics skills – required
• May require occasional travel (up to 25%)
