Facility Technician I

WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Support daily facility operations across multiple Southern California locations.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve facility-related issues to maintain safe and efficient workplaces.
- Assist with facility projects, including budget tracking and progress monitoring.
- Coordinate vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
- Manage administrative tasks, including invoice processing and recordkeeping.
- Support facility services such as landscaping, janitorial, recycling, and waste management.
- Assist with event setup, tear-down, and furniture relocation activities.
- Support safety, security, and emergency preparedness programs.
- Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Collaborate with the building engineering team to support the operation and maintenance of all Southern California sites.
- Safely operate hand and power tools as needed.
- Travel between locations to support facility operations and special projects.
- Perform additional duties and assignments as required.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- High School Diploma / GED / or Relevant Technical Certification
- 2 years related experience in Facilities / General Affairs
Skills:
- Basic knowledge of facility maintenance and building operations
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Outlook
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
- Knowledge and safe use of hand and power tools
Physical Demands & Working Environment:
- Regular standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting activities
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull materials weighing up to 60 pounds
- Work may be performed in office, warehouse, laboratory, and outdoor environments
- Exposure to varying weather conditions and facility operational areas
- Occasional use of facility equipment and machinery following safety protocols
- Must have valid driver's license
