Quality Strategy Manager
Hyundai Motor Group North American Quality Center. (NAQC) is currently looking for a Strategy Manager at our Irvine, CA facility.

The Position:
The Quality Strategy Manager will provide advanced analytics that informs strategic direction for NAQC. The candidate lead a team and manage projects to execute new business solutions which support the NAQC Quality Action Process. Design, develop, and maintain the next generation of tools aimed at detecting, escalating and managing quality investigations to achieve internal and external goals and KPI’s.
What You Will Do
- Understand Division’s plan and work with the team to implement & achieve KPIs.
- Provide support, like advanced analysis of quality data, to inform strategic direction for NAQC quality operations.
- Work with complex data sets to drive data-driven decision making.
- Develop predictive models to support business objectives.
- Manage projects to execute new business solutions.
- Lead and manage a team of data scientists and analysts, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to drive exceptional performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and affiliates.
- Monitor syndicated study results (e.g. J.D. Power, Consumer Reports) and develop forecasts for the Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia brands.
- Innovate new ways of problem solving that draw from best practices and innovations from other industries. Conduct regular reviews of program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement process enhancements to optimize project outcomes.
- Support ad hoc strategic analysis requests.
- Manage budget, resource allocation, and forecasting activities.
- Mentor team members in their analytical toolset growth.
- Some domestic and international travel required (up to 25%)
What You Will Bring to the Role
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, data science, computer science, business statistics, economics, mathematics, or related area
- 10+ years of relevant experience in data and/or statistical analysis/reporting role.
- Previous management experience a plus.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Advanced in Excel, PowerPoint.
- Proficient in various data preparation and analytics tools and data visualization software.
- Automotive industry experience strongly preferred
- Prior experience with automotive OEM data strongly preferred.
- Prior experience in text analytics a plus.
- Project management experience a plus.
- Superior verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess a strong analytical mindset.
- Able to recognize the needs of the end user and create reproducible solutions that answer those needs quickly and efficiently.
- Must be detail orientated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must possess a strong ability to document developed processes and best practices.
- Maintain a positive and “can-do” attitude and an unbreakable commitment to delivering high quality analysis.
- Comfortable working with multiple levels, from freshman engineers to corporate executives.
- An excellent problem-solver, detail-oriented, and exhibits a drive for continuous improvement.
- Focused on people and working with internal 'customers.'
