Experienced Interior Trim Engineer

What You Will Do:

• Design and develop Interior Trim parts and perform design-releasing duties for North American-based vehicle projects
• Develop innovative solutions to improve from a cost/mass, performance, and quality perspective
• Develop engineering concepts and see parts through to mass production
• Create and present technical reports to communicate project status and results
• Recommend engineering improvements through assessing current designs and competitor benchmarking
• Use previous experience to help mentor and develop fellow engineers within the group
• Generate and complete advanced development projects related to part- or system-level improvements for future vehicles
• Travel up to 15% of the time, both domestically and internationally

What You Will Bring to the Role:

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering-related discipline
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• 5+ years of working knowledge of Interior Trim components (e.g., pillar trim, carpet, door trim, headliners, etc.)
• Familiar with cradle-to-grave product development practices & processes
• Knowledge of US regulations
• Knowledge of design, manufacturing, and assembly of Interior Trim components
• Experience utilizing computer-aided design tools
  • Capability in CATIA V5 is ideal, but not required
• Valid Driver's License & a satisfactory driving record
