  • Own system integration and functional performance of predominantly side closures, in addition to supporting efforts concerning hoods, tailgates, sunroof systems, charge port doors, and fuel filler doors
  • Drive innovation in lightweight materials usage, modular design, and user ergonomics
  • Create detailed 3D models and 2D drawings with proper GD&T in CATIA V5
  • Develop DFMEAs and DVP&Rs, conduct virtual analysis, and support physical validation efforts
  • Interface with suppliers concerning design feasibility, cost, and tooling readiness
  • Collaborate with design, BIW, NVH, electrical, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure robust integration and seamless vehicle functionality
  • Support prototype builds and lead issue resolution during pilot and launch phases
  • Work closely with assembly plants to validate manufacturability and assembly robustness
  • Support launch, issue tracking, and continuous improvement efforts
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers on best engineering practices
  • Travel up to 20% of the time, both domestically and internationally
