Vehicle Energy Model Development Intern (Internship - Summer 2026)
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Assist with the development of tools used to analyze core vehicle functional objectives including fuel economy, longitudinal performance, launch on grade capability, towing performance, and track performance
- Define and implement proper version control for tool development
- Develop and refine user interface for efficiency design tool
- Produce and deliver executive-level presentations on key project milestones/achievements and provide actionable insights and recommendations for product improvements
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields
- Foundational knowledge of electrified propulsion system electric motors, power conversion systems, high voltage batteries, engines, transmissions, charging electronics, and control systems
- Demonstrated experience in automotive powertrain core model development and refinement including version control and user interface development using MATLAB/Simulink
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
