Position Summary:
Supervises production Team Members and Group Leaders in the Engine department in an auto manufacturing environment. Responsible for constant monitoring of safety, quality, cost, and productivity, with daily improvement activities. Interacts with varied support and control groups. Assists in day-to-day production operations.
Essential Functions:
- Direct and coordinate the activities of Team Members engaged in the production of engines.
- Plan and establish work schedules and assignments to meet production goals.
- Interpret specifications, blueprints, job orders, and company policies and procedures for Team Members.
- Read and analyze charts, production schedules, and other records and reports to determine production requirements.
- Generate and understand performance reports.
- Observe work and monitor equipment to ensure Team Members conform to production and/or processing standards.
- Assure productivity and control downtime.
- Ensure quality work is passed to the customer.
- Develop and implement countermeasures when needed.
- Assure safe work environment.
- Control costs within established budgets.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with Team Members.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management
- System (SMS) requirements.
- Meet all other requirements as assigned
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent desired
Related Experience:
5 – 10 years of job related experience

- MSWord
- MS Excel
- MS PowerPoint
Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
