Position Summary:
Responsible for compensation processes and programs in the human resources department in an automotive manufacturing environment. Calculates compensation offers and promotional increases for salaried employees. Prepares the annual merit, progression, lump sum, and bonus programs, in addition to maintaining compensation program design, analysis, budgeting, and implementation. Works closely with HRIS and IT to ensure the HR systems are updated to reflect changes to salary structures, hourly pay progression charts, and payment uploads.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and administer compensation processes and procedures.
- Develop, recommend, and administer compensation programs, including base pay plans, salary structures, variable pay plans, and other total reward.
- Calculate promotional increases and compesnation offers for salaried and Maintenance Team Members new hires.
- Ensure compensation compliance with laws such as the Fair Labor Standards Act (FSLA).
- Maintain the “Total Compensation Statement” for all Team Members.
- Prepare and analyze data for annual compensation programs.
- Coordinate complex compensation projects and produce a variety of analytical reports on compensation to support strategies and decisions.
- Participate in various salary and compensation based surveys and memberships.
- Research and analyze market data for comparison to ensure HMMA compensation remains competitive.
- Advise Team Members, answer questions, and prepare reference materials regarding compensation at HMMA.
- Maintain education data and requests in SuccessFactors.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
- Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent desired
Related Experience:
- 0 – 10 years of job related experience preferred
- 3 years experience administering compensation programs desired
Training / Certification:
Certified Compensation Professional (CCP®) preferred

Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
