Position Summary:

Reports and coordinates the resolution of customer issues reported by external Quality Indices such as J.D Power Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS), Initial Quality Study (IQS), and Consumer Report vehicle reliability in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions:

  • Gather and analyze Voice of the Customer data and generate reports on results to identify and highlight issues for management review.
  • Retrieves customer feedback (Enprecis, IQS Tracking studies, etc.) and maintain a database of results.
  • Review and analyze the customer feedback and generate reports to identify current issues with HMMA built vehicles and submit reports for counter measure development.
  • Access and retrieve syndicated results when they become available and assist in the creation of management reports indicating the current status, the analysis of the results, and next steps needed to drive improvements for the next year model.
  • Assist in the analysis of external and internal Quality Index results to identify top priority improvement areas to notify management and provide feedback to HMMA departments and other external sources (HMA, HMC, HATCI, and suppliers) for counter measure development.
  • Prepare for visits from external parties (J.D Powers, HATCI, HMA etc.) and events (IQS and VDS results seminar etc.) including the reservation of meeting areas and activity checklists.
  • Support and help coordinate Task Force Team activities to support improvements in the external indices for HMMA models.
  • Support/Coordinate Quality Index related vehicle-part inspection/benchmarking study activity.
  • Maintain and update the Quality Index and audit procedures to current work processes.
  • Support vehicle benchmarking and inspections; help develop benchmarking and inspection activities on issues found with HMMA built vehicles.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired

Related Experience:

  • 0 – 10 years of job related experience preferred.
  • 3 – 5 years experience in data analysis desired

Training / Certification:

Skills / Knowledge:

  • MS Word
  • MS Excel
  • MS PowerPoint
  • SAP desired
  • Technical knowledge of vehicle systems desired
  • mTAB knowledge desired

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
