Position Summary:

Supervises Plant Engineering and Maintenance staff directly related to the assigned operational department and organization while ensuring HMMA policies and procedures are carried out to achieve company goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of Plant Engineering and Maintenance Team Members in the assigned department or section.
  • Plan and establish work schedules and assignments for direct reports.
  • Oversee and support company policies in area of responsibility.
  • Develop, coordinate, and lead all responsible area related activities aligned with the company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor safety, environmental, quality, cost, and productivity/downtime for the responsible area; lead problem solving and countermeasure activities.
  • Lead Team Members in continuous improvement activities.
  • Manage overtime and other operational costs in area of responsibility.
  • Establish activities to develop, train, and retain a high performing quality workforce.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Confer with management and/or production staff to discuss project specifications or procedures.
  • Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, or findings to management and/or production staff.
  • Evaluate Team Members’ performance in accordance with company policies including adherence to time/attendance policies, performance metrics, etc.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management
  • System (SMS) requirements.
  •  Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent desired

Related Experience:

5 – 10 years of job related experience preferred

Skills / Knowledge:

  •  MS Word
  •  MS Excel
  •  MS PowerPoint
  •  Knowledge of Preventive Maintenance, Spare parts Organization, Fanuc Robot operation, AB PLC operation desired

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
