Position Summary:
Provide managerial leadership in conjunction with HMMA's IT supplier for establishing the direction for standards, life-cycle management, design, and implementation approaches for the company’s security related infrastructure. Evaluates and supports implementation of plans and design proposals for high impact IT solutions and their use involving leading edge technologies and methods considering key factors such as their long-term effectiveness and security posture (service delivery and cost), practicality, technical limitations, criticality, and coordinates with headquarters. Contributes to designs applied to all aspects of security related infrastructure prototypes and eventual implementation. Performs work of high complexity and derives logical processes based on technical platforms. Engages in performance/integration testing, problem analysis, business and technical analysis.
Essential Functions:
Managerial Leadership (50%)
Manage assigned tasks and quickly respond to and process security requests with HMMA's IT vendor.
Monitor, analyze, and respond to security incidents reported by the HQ Security Operations Center.
Member of computer security incident response team.
Design disaster recovery of security systems.
Approve policies for user VPNs and site-to-site VPNs.
Recommend security changes to increase security for Network, Windows, and Active Directory infrastructure.
Document security procedures and system configurations.
Help introduce new security products and methodologies.
Create and manage security awareness training.
Perform annual security policy reviews.
Perform annual risk analysis.
Support external auditors as needed.
Implement policies to ensure the security and integrity of the computing and network environment as directed by management.
Project Management (50%)
Manage a large portfolio of projects, tasks, issues, and systems.
Manage projects from initial requirement stage on through completion stage, ensuring appropriate documentation and completion.
Conduct/Lead formal project meetings with team, other departments, and customers.
Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or equivalent preferred
Related Experience:
-5 – 10 years job related experience
-At least 10 years of directly related experience desired
Training / Certification:
Security certifications (Security +, CISSP) preferred
Skills / Knowledge:
Ability to think logically and to analyze issues and implement appropriate solutions
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to plan, organize, coordinate work assignments
Ability to complete projects on time
Ability to work well in a team environment
Ability to interact positively with internal and external customers
Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
