Specialist - Engine PC (Spec Control)

Position Summary:

Technical Specialist for assigned production area in an automotive manufacturing environment. Job requirements include coordinating and leading project activities, including engineering change and bill of material coordination.

Essential Functions:

• Serve as technical expert of assigned area during new engine launches.
• Coordinate and lead project activities, including engineering change coordination.
• Analyze and continuously improve performance of assigned area for specification control in regards to BOM, EO change, and coordination.
• Participate in Cross Functional Teams and other problem solving teams as directed by senior management.
• Serve as a technical expert for Engine team for engineering change, including technical training, as required.
• Support daily production issues as required.
• Continually review technical development in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
• Report current projects, progress, and issues to Senior Management. Prepare presentations and reports as required.
• Prepare and deliver EPI meeting information. Participate in Part Development, Supplier implementation of EO changes where required. Support all aspects of Production Control Specification Control.
• Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Team Member may be required to handle hazardous wastes which may include identifying, inspecting, packaging, labelling, and moving waste in compliance with RCRA regulations. Relevant training will be provided if assigned these job duties.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired

Related Experience:

0 - 10 years job related experience desired

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
