Specialist - Engine PC - Material Handling (PM Shift)

Position Summary:

Coordinate, monitor, and perform specialized technical processes and related functions directly related to the Material Handling process of Engine PC to maintain
an organized floor & part control in an automotive manufacturing environment.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Maintain monitoring of part shortage and line conditions for PM shift.
  • Support PM shift operations for contractors in engine shops material handling.
  • Create, maintain, and improve daily systems, movement, and flow of part delivery line side.
  • Create and maintain equipment, racks, and dolly for part delivery.
  • Maintain existing Kanban delivery system in SAP.
  • Create and maintain line part sequencing and delivery.
  • Record and maintain any changes in the material system, including new updates to part implementation.
  • Set-up all new part numbers for line side delivery.
  • Communicate and report any issues with existing equipment, racks, or dolly for part delivery.
  • Perform the ordering process of any equipment, racks, or dolly for part delivery or inventory improvement.
  • Assist Material Control team with all new project implementations.
  • Assist the sub-contract team or teams on warehouse and line side developments and improvements.
  • Attend regular and occasional meetings with various HMMA departments to communicate status and issues.
  • Maintain accurate material data, transactions, scrap number in the SAP system.
  • Report current projects, progress, and issues to Senior Management. Prepare presentations and reports as required.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

 

Position Requirements:

 

Education

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent preferred

 

Related Experience

0 – 10 years job related experience preferred

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call
duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
