Position Summary:

Responsible for supplier cooperation activities relating to the support of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and carbon neutrality in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Essential Functions

  • Ensure HMMA suppliers are in compliance with HMC directives for ESG and carbon neutrality regulations and initiatives. 
  • Maintain ESG and carbon neutrality data management and verification. 
  • Collect and monitor ESG data from suppliers, including improvement plans, certifications, etc. 
  • Implement key improvement tasks and projects. 
  • Prepare written assessments and reports of suppliers regarding ESG. 
  • Facilitate ESG and carbon neutrality activities with supplies including auditing for compliance. 
  • Communicate with HMC regarding ESG status and compliance. 
  • Collect and manage Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions performance data from suppliers. 
  • Conduct activities and lead projects to enhance awareness of carbon neutrality throughout the supply chain. 
  • Drive suppliers toward carbon neutrality by exploring carbon reduction opportunities. 
  • Support supplier business practices to align with ESG regulations and carbon neutrality regulations. 
  • Establish and maintain regular communication with suppliers regarding ESG and carbon neutrality regulations and standards. 
  • Support supply chain visibility and compliance monitoring. 
  • Support supplier cybersecurity activities. 
  • Support supplier safety activities. 
  • Perform department general affairs duties as needed. 
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. 
  • Meet all other requirements as assigned.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Related Experience:

  • 0 – 10 years of job related experience.
  • 3 - 5 years job related experience preferred. College graduate or minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. OEM or parts components supplier experience preferred.

Skills / Knowledge:

  • MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Access.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills.

Certification:

  • Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.

 

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
