Position Summary:
Responsible for supplier cooperation activities relating to the support of the Procurement and Purchasing Division in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
- Supplier Support:
1. Support supplier business practices to align with HMMA Supplier Code of Conduct.
2. Help facilitate Environmental, Social, & Governance (ESG) activities with suppliers
3. Maintain supplier business status through establishing communication.
4. Maintain up-to-date supply base information database and share best practices related to purchasing data and distribution.
5. Oversee supplier status for local & global suppliers.
6. Monitor & report supplier ESG improvement plans, certifications, etc. as needed.
7. Complete new supplier registrations & on-board processes and maintain supplier pool.
- Executive Assistant to Chief Purchasing Officer (CPO):
1. Business trip preparation.
2. Perform other administrative duties as needed to support CPO.
- General Affairs:
1. Manage/Organize event preparation, division meetings, office supplies, TM information, Kronos, & on-site vehicle.
2. Support HMC visitor needs.
3. Perform other general affairs activities as needed.
- Manage division budget.
- Coordinate communication within the division.
- Maintain confidential information.
- Participate in and conduct purchasing related internal meetings.
- Work closely with buyers to gain access to latest required information.
- Work closely with upper management to complete other duties as assigned.
- Provide bilingual services including written translations (including daily, weekly, monthly reports) and interactive translation for verbal conversations and meetings; review finished materials for completeness, accuracy, format, and appropriate English or Korean language usage.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
- Meet all other requirements as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Related Experience:
- 0 – 10 years of job related experience.
- 3 - 5 years job related experience preferred. College graduate or minimum three (3) years of progressively responsible supply chain experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. OEM or parts components supplier experience preferred.
Skills / Knowledge:
- MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint, & Access.
- SAP preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication & interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual - ability to speak, read, and write Korean and English fluently.
Certification:
- Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) preferred.
Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
