Senior Manager - Purchasing Management (HOD)

Position Summary:
Responsible for leading all aspects of HMMA Vehicle Component Purchasing Management activities relating to cost, quality, and service for production parts in an automotive manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
- Provide leadership and direct the Purchasing Management Organization.
- Manage vehicle unit cost for securing profitability.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure an efficient and professional operation consistent with corporate vision.
- Manage, receive, and analyze cost optimization ideas through Team Members.
- Accountable for the cost control of purchased parts within budget.
- Identify and lead yearly cost reduction activities.
- Professionally resolve problems (both internal and external) in a fair and ethical manner.
- Actively manage the on-going relationships with strategic providers, including supplier improvement, supplier quality, contract management, joint supply chain improvements, and cost improvements over time.
- Direct the gathering of the necessary data required for benchmarking, cost analysis, compliance reporting, and pricing negotiations. Communicate recommendations based on information derived from benchmark information.
- Manage and update KD part pricing.
- Coordinate and execute supplier VA/VE activities.
- Compile and report division performance.
- Manage division budget (Investment, Expense).
- Manage Supplier ESG/Carbon Neutrality compliance.
- Supervise supplier greenhouse gas/responsible mineral reporting & compliance.
- Supervise and support supply chain visualization compliance.
- Coordinate supplier labor & safety activities.
- Maintain supplier information & communication.
- Supervise purchasing administrative management activities.
- Manage new vehicle parts development process.
- Supervise vehicle production volume change and mid/long-term supplier capacity management.
- Responsible for parts quality data/index management, Quality 5-star audit planning.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
- Perform special projects or other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required
- Advanced degree preferred
Related Experience:
- 12 – 15 years job related experience preferred
- Ten (10) years of progressively responsible supply chain, engineering, and/or finance experience desired
- OEM or parts components supplier experience desired
Training / Certification:
- Certified Purchasing Manager (C.P.M.) designation preferred

Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
