Position Summary:

Coordinates, monitors, and performs specialized technical processes/related functions in an automotive manufacturing environment directly related to maintenance activities in the Engine Engineering Department to meet and exceed company goals and objectives.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, coordinate, and lead activities aligned with the company goals and objectives as required.
  • Provide technical direction and assistance to identify and troubleshoot problems; propose counter measures/solutions; and resolve issues.
  • Monitor and coordinate spare parts and materials in support of department activities as required.
  • Understanding of Engine Automation, PLC, HMI, Nut-runner, Vision, Grading, Sealing, Adhesive, Leak Testing, program, operation and parameters.
  • Maintain, support, and make quality adjustments too Press force monitoring, Nut-runners, 2D Vision systems, Click wrenches, Laser sensors, Leak test units, and a variety of other systems within the Engine division.
  • Ensure all Process change protocols are followed.
  • Work with MES/IT groups with issues related to production lines.
  • Knowledge of engine theory and assembly processes / strategies.
  • Develop and organize information related to departmental activities.
  • Coordinate and provide technical training and advise other Team Members as needed.
  • Support and/or lead continuous improvement activities.
  • Develop and provide technical presentations.
  • Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
  • Meet all other requirements assigned.

Position Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering or Technical Discipline or equivalent preferred

Related Experience:

  • 0 – 10 years job related experience preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment serving in a technical role.
  • Industrial / Automotive experience desired

Training / Certification:

Preferred: PLC programming Allen Bradley Siemens

Additional Information:

Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
