Position Summary:
Technical Specialist for Engine supporting all manufacturing operations in an automotive manufacturing environment. Job requirements include the analysis and improvement of current production processes and coordination of new model and tooling launches.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production plans for the Engine Division manufacturing departments based on vehicle requirements.
- Support daily production issues, as required, including AS/RS management.
- Analyze & continuously improve performance of assigned area (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).
- Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem solving teams as directed.
- Serve as a technical expert for Team Members and Team Leaders including technical training, as required.
- Report Engine Division manufacturing scrap on a monthly basis.
- Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
- Report current projects, progress, and issues to Senior Management. Prepare presentations and reports as required.
- Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements. Team Member may be required to handle hazardous wastes which may include identifying, inspecting, packaging, labelling, and moving waste in compliance with RCRA regulations. Relevant training will be provided if assigned these job duties.

Position Requirements:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent desired
Related Experience:
- 0 - 10 years job related experience desired
- 3 – 5 year experience with Automotive Assembly Systems and tooling capability and dimensional quality systems preferred

Additional Information:
Position may require occasional travel (domestic or foreign). Flexibility in working hours to include weekends, holidays, and off shift. Position may require on-call duty or overtime due to overall responsibility.
