Hyundai Washington D.C. Office ( “we,” or “us”)

This Applicant Data Privacy Consent Statement (“Statement”) describes how Hyundai Washington D.C. Office collects, uses, retains, and safeguards personal information of job applicants (“Applicants”) in connection with our recruitment and hiring process. This Statement applies only to job applicants and candidates applying for positions with Hyundai Washington D.C. Office.

This Statement applies to personal information collected through Hyundai Washington D.C. Office’s recruiting systems (SuccessFactors) and other hiring-related processes. 4. Purposes for Collecting and Using Personal Information
We collect and use applicant information for the following business purposes:

6. Data Retention and Deletion
HMC retains applicant personal information only for as long as necessary for recruitment purposes and legal compliance. Information of applicants who are not hired will be retained for approximately 90 days after the hiring decision, after which it will be securely deleted or anonymized.
7. Applicant Rights
Subject to applicable law, applicants have the right to request:
- Access to their personal information,
- Correction of inaccurate or outdated information, and
- Deletion or withdrawal of consent for processing their data.

Applicants who withdraw consent or request deletion understand that this may affect their ongoing candidacy.
8. Data Transfer
While HMC Washington D.C. primarily stores data within the United States, certain limited information may be accessed by HMC headquarters in Korea for legitimate business or compliance purposes. Any such transfer will be conducted in accordance with applicable data protection standards and internal safeguards, such as using Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
