JOB TITLE

EHS-Risk and Casualty Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Support site level insurance and risk financing programs, including policy renewals, coverage coordination, and claims support.
• Serve as a site contact for Factory Mutual Company and support risk engineering surveys and loss prevention recommendations.
• Track and support closure of Factory Mutual Company recommendations related to fire protection, natural hazards, equipment protection, and business interruption.
• Support Workers’ Compensation programs through injury trend analysis and claims coordination.
• Conduct manufacturing focused risk assessments.
• Develop and maintain Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and Emergency Response Plans (ERPs).
• Perform Business Impact Assessments (BIAs).
• Participate in Crisis Management Team activities and emergency exercises.
• Maintain risk management and continuity documentation.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

•    Bachelor's degree in business continuity, risk management, or safety-related field.
•    3+ years of job-related experience. 
•    Proven experience in disaster preparedness, emergency management, or business continuity, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
•    Strong written and verbal communication, analytical, problem solving and human relations skills
•    Able to present complex issues in a concise manner
•    Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions under pressure.
•    Experience completing a Business Impact Assessment BIA
•    Strong organizational and systems implementation.
•    Proficient in MS Office products.
•    Strong coaching skills, investigation skills and risk reduction experience.  
Preferred:
•    Industrial insurance knowledge
•    Experience with crisis communication and incident command systems
•    Working knowledge of ISO 22301, NFPA 1660 and other relevant ISO standards.

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
•    Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
•    Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
•    Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed
When in Production Area (if applicable):
•    Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
•    Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25–30 pounds)
•    Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
•    Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
•    Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
•    Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
•    Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
•    Consistent and punctual attendance
•    Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
