Employee Relations Culture Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • •    Design, lead, and execute employee recognition initiatives to enhance morale, foster engagement, and promote a positive workplace culture.
    •    Identify potential issues impacting employee morale and provide actionable recommendations to support a positive work environment.
    •    Create engaging visual content for internal communication platforms, including newsletters, signage, and TV displays.
    •    Develop comprehensive employee training materials covering topics such as employee onboarding, leadership, and other relevant subjects to enhance employee skills and knowledge.
    •    Research employee and labor relations trends and best practices to assist management to facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns. 
    •    Archive and generate quantitative and qualitative reports for HMGMA management as requested.
    •    Perform administrative and other occasional tasks/duties related to the job as assigned.

HMGMA is the abbreviation of Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America. It is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative plant with cutting-edge production technology applied.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Minimum:
•    Bachelor’s degree
•    Majors in Graphic Design, Visual Communication Design, Digital Media Design, Journalism, or a relevant field
•    Minimum three (3) years of experience in in creating visual contents such as company promotional videos or employee training materials
•    Submission of a portfolio showcasing relevant visual media projects
•    Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite or similar graphic design software
•    Experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent applications
•    Extensive knowledge and experience in analyzing data 
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Maintain a high level of confidentiality
•    Strong organizational and analytical skills
Preferred:
•    HR Management, Organizational Psychology, or Labor Relations major preferred.
•    Graphic design certificate or experience in leadership training preferred
•    Knowledge on federal and state employment laws and regulations
•    Law firm or consulting company work experience.
•    Work experience in automotive industry
Competency Based: 
•    Visual Content Creation
- Experience with graphic design, campaign marketing, and video editing
- Ability to utilize various mediums to provide necessary information in the most suitable form, or to process information materials according to the characteristics of the media to be used
•    Information gathering and processing capabilities.
- Ability to set up a collection plan and procedure for necessary data and information, collect data and information using various methods and tools, and process it according to the intention

•    Presentation skills
- Presentation skills, lecture skills, speech techniques, use of PowerPoint

•    Media Utilization Capabilities
- Media utilization skills, editor skills, meticulousness
- Ability to use various media to provide necessary information in the most suitable form, or to process information materials according to the characteristics of the media to be used

•    Curriculum development competency
- Ability to plan and establish learning goals, learning content, learning methods and types, and learning evaluation

Language Proficiency:
Strong command of the English language (written and spoken) is essential for safety, communication, documentation, and collaboration across the organization.

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
•    Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
•    Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
•    Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed
When in Production Area (if applicable):
•    Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
•    Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25–30 pounds)
•    Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
•    Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
•    Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
•    Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
•    Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
•    Consistent and punctual attendance
•    Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
