JOB TITLE

WHAT YOU WILL DO

•    Lead and oversee the General Accounting, Treasury, and Tax functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and corporate policies.
•    Develop and implement financial strategies to optimize cash flow, tax efficiency, and financial reporting accuracy.
•    Supervise financial reporting, ensuring timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
•    Manage relationships with external auditors, banks, tax authorities, and other financial institutions.
•    Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership to support business growth and operational efficiency.
•    Ensure compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other regulatory standards.
•    Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and prevent financial discrepancies.
•    Lead financial risk management initiatives, including currency risk, liquidity risk, and investment planning.
•    Oversee tax planning and compliance, optimizing corporate tax strategies to align with business objectives.
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and drive cost reduction initiatives.
•    Develop and mentor a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
 

HOW WILL YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

HMGMA (Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America) is Hyundai Motor Group's first dedicated EV mass-production plant and is an innovative facility with cutting-edge production technology. As the Finance Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of the manufacturing plant. Your expertise in financial management, treasury operations, and tax compliance will ensure the financial health of HMGMA, supporting its long-term sustainability and profitability.
 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Required
•    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
•    Minimum 15 years of experience in finance, accounting, treasury, or tax, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
•    Strong knowledge of financial regulations, IFRS, GAAP, and tax laws.
•    Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and analysis within the manufacturing or automotive industry.
•    Expertise in managing external audits, tax compliance, and treasury functions.
•    Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•    Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a high level of attention to detail.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and financial management software (SAP preferred).
•    Flexibility to work extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred:
•    Strong knowledge of corporate financing strategies and capital structure optimization.
•    Experience in developing and implementing financial control systems and risk management frameworks.
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI for financial data visualization and reporting.
Travel Requirement
•    Domestic / International travel required.

Physical Demands
While in Office:
This position is primarily sedentary and requires working at a desk and computer for extended periods. Responsibilities may include:
•    Occasional lifting of office supplies (up to 15 pounds)
•    Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing and handling documents
•    Ability to sit, stand, and walk within the office environment as needed
When in Production Area (if applicable):
•    Standing, walking, bending, and reaching for extended durations
•    Repeated lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of materials and products (up to 25–30 pounds)
•    Manual dexterity for handling power tools, machinery, or production equipment
•    Working in environments that may be noisy, hot, or require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
•    Ability to climb ladders or stairs and operate equipment safely and effectively
•    Capability to learn and work on multiple production processes, as required
•    Adequate visual and auditory abilities to identify safety hazards and communicate clearly
•    Consistent and punctual attendance
•    Ability to collaborate and perform effectively in a team-oriented environment
