JOB TITLE

General Assembly Process System Engineering Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Serve as system expert of assigned area managing integration of new vehicle during launches.
• Maintain and monitoring system/server status and take immediate actions that would impact production
• Analysis data of each production system and errors to create improvement plans to lead the optimization of digital system
• Translate production process requirements to IT system and make request to related departments and contractors
• Coordinate and lead project activities, including equipment/software installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
• Need to prepare spec package after reviewing requirement. (Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout, Ergonomics etc.)
• Communicate with Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Team in Korea and other relevant teams in HMC or Autoever from Korea/USA for successful launch.
• Host video conference in system improvement projects and status follow up meeting.
• Work content to be explained through a picture drawn in the users’ position according to user manual.
• Responsible to check the workability and quality for system infrastructure and production activity.
• Ability to check vehicle drawing (tightening hardware and torque, vehicle dimension, etc.) and design work process as the assembly sequence.
• Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.
• Serve as technical expert for Team Members, Team Leaders, including technical training, as required.
• Support daily production issues as required.
• Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
• Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.
• Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent or equivalent desired
• (Other) No reason for disqualification for overseas travel or stay
• Skills/Knowledge : MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint
• Experience in vehicle assembly processes and equipment of General Assembly division.
• Experience or knowledge of the system setup and integration of IT related system.
• Up to 5 years of job-related experience in an engineering/industrial environment
• Experience in vehicle assembly automation and automatic supply of assembly parts
• Preferred Skills/Knowledge: C#, SQL, .networkframe, or similar language/program
• Good communication skills and excellent leadership skills
• Domestic / International travel required.
