JOB TITLE
General Assembly Tooling & System Engineering Specialist
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Oversee General Assembly Tool operations and serve as a technical expert by applying process engineering methods to improve system efficiency and performance
• Coordinate and lead project activities, to analyze production processes, and specifications which identify areas for improvement relates to torque and tool.
• Control and manage systems that has relationship with tool such as Smart Tag, ToolsNet, Tools Control, IQIS, etc.
• Utilize data analysis, observations, and time studies to improve any issues tied with assembly quality.
• Determine and optimize the allocated process with tool and torques and continuously improve performance of assigned area (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).
• Support setup through selecting tool, socket, and setting while managing torque and tooling for under production or new vehicle process implementation.
• Prepare documentation packages after reviewing requirements. (Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout, Ergonomics etc.)
• Communicate and have meetings with Head Quarter Design Team regarding of specification of assembly
• Managing inventory of all necessary tool list and consumables such as sockets, bits, die & tabs
• Work content to be explained through a picture drawn in the workers’ position according to work content, work order and work status.
• Evaluate workability for quality in vehicle assembly such as ergonomic and ISD.
• Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.
• Serve as technical expert for Team Members, Team Leaders, including technical training, as required.
• Support daily production issues as required.
• Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
• Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned.
• Ability to perform multi-tasks with multiple priorities within a designated time frame.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent or equivalent desired
• (Other) No reason for disqualification for overseas travel or stay
• 3 or more years of experience working in an engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, fabrication and/or production environment
• 3 or more years of experience defining, developing, implementing, or improving production processes related to tool system
• Skills/Knowledge : MS Word / Excel / PowerPoint
• Experience in vehicle assembly processes and equipment of General Assembly division.
• Experience or knowledge of the new plant construction process.
• Up to 5 years of job-related experience or an equivalent combination of education in an engineering/industrial environment
• Up to 3 years of job-related experience working Lean Manufacturing with knowledge of lean principles
• Experience in vehicle assembly automation and automatic supply of assembly parts
• Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards (PFMEA, control plan, etc)
• Good communication skills and excellent leadership skill
• Domestic / International travel required.
