JOB TITLE

HR Benefits Specialist

WHAT YOU WILL DO

•    Serve as liaison between HMGMA contracted Benefits providers and HMGMA team members.
•    Assists with new-hire orientations.
•    Ensures the accuracy of all benefits enrollments in the HRIS to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information.
•    Assists with the open enrollment process.
•    Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and the preparation of vouchers for payment of administrative fees for all group plans.
•    Performs quality checks of benefits-related data.
•    Assists employees regarding benefits claim issues and plan changes.
•    Distributes all benefits enrollment materials and determines eligibility.
•    Enroll employees with carriers and process life status changes.
•    Communicate, educate, and train all levels of management and employees on benefit matters.
•    Recommend, monitor, evaluate, implement, and administer the benefits programs to ensure programs are current regarding trends, practices, and costs.
•    Assist in developing benefits policies, processes, and guidelines.
•    Coordinate and maintain 401(k) communication materials, supplies, presentations, and training as appropriate.
•    Effectively interprets FMLA and ADA implications as they relate to leaves of absences/disabilities.
•    Responds to benefits inquiries from managers and employees on plan provisions, benefits enrollments, status changes and other general inquiries.
•    Track all employees’ leave records and update monthly.
•    Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and government regulations on matters pertaining to benefits and terms and conditions of employment
•    Interact with statutory board when required.
•    Provide benefit related information for internal and external audits.
•    Maintain proper document filing and documentation.
•    Meet all other requirements as assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Minimum:
•    Minimum 3+ years of benefits experience 
•    Microsoft Office experience required
Preferred:
•    Bachelor’s degree preferred.
•    Job related experience in Automotive Industry
•    SAP experience

Travel Requirement
•    Domestic / International travel not required.

Working Hours (Shift) Requirement
•    Employment opportunities at HMGMA will be completed in multiple phases. 
•    Shift assignment for this position may change to meet the business needs.
