JOB TITLE

[Production] (Equip Maint) Maintenance TM Apprenticeship

WHAT YOU WILL DO

[ Position Summary ]
•    Learns, monitors and performs technical processes related to Stamping, Welding, Paint, or General Assembly shops in the maintenance department to meet company goals with high safety, efficiency, and quality. Position will work in an advanced manufacturing environment with servo, robotic, and other enhanced automation systems.
[ General Management ]
•    During apprenticeship, schedule will be dayshift with a rotation between the plant and school (3 days at the plant and 2 days at school).
Weekend support may be required. After successful completion of the program, you will be assigned to a team on a rotating shift. (Every 4 weeks)
•    Carry out and report on status of assigned tasks throughout activities.
(Trouble shooting, PM activities, Training, School Course Work) 
•    Provide support for urgent requests regarding equipment issues (Overtime, Weekends, and Holidays may be necessary)
•    Follows all Safety & Environmental guideline while performing any maintenance activities
•    Should have pre-approval from department management to cover any absences
•    Support activities to encourage good teamwork. (Meeting, Events, Collaboration)

[ Equipment & Spare parts Management ]
•    Do his/her best to maintain all equipment operation condition in assigned area
(PM, Trouble shooting, Improvement, Cleaning)
•    Inform immediately if any issues are found (Noise, Heat, Smell, Vibration, Alarm) 
•    Should have pre-approval from management if he/she needs to change any equipment settings that could impact safety/quality/reliability.
(Program, parameter and any mechanical/electrical parts)
•    Do his/her best to minimize downtime (Inform leadership at when answering calls, quickly identify if support is needed, or when the problem is resolved.)
•    Propose, review & execute countermeasures and improvement idea to achieve shop downtime targets based on learned skills.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Minimum:
•    High School Diploma or GED. No more than two years removed from High School.
•    Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
•    Pass a pre-hire assessment.
•    Eligible for enrollment with Savannah Technical College. 
•    Mechanical and electrical aptitude to follow mechatronic learning program
•    Ability to learn and understand drawing and specifications of electrical, mechanical systems (controls, hydraulics, pneumatics, gearing, etc.).
•    PLC Programming skills willie be developed, should have aptitude for computer system setup.
•    Trouble shooting skill for automated system requires problem solving ability

Working Hours (Shift) Requirement
