WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Director, Genesis Brand Experience, Genesis House & Studios functions as the primary strategic business leader of the Genesis Brand Center(s) with ultimate responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including strategy and planning, tactical execution, guest and employee satisfaction, guest experience, and marketing plan development and execution.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Responsible for ensuring the implementation of guest experience strategy and Genesis brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations and increasing awareness, engagement, and financial performance.  
  • Hold vendor and local staff accountable for ethical strategic and tactical execution.  
  • Leverage and initiate independent and proactive marketing activities, to build awareness, improve opinion and consideration, and ultimately generate demand for the brand and its products. 
  • Partners with Genesis Global Headquarters team to ensure brand venues are aligned to global brand strategy. 
  • Lead development of new business opportunities; develops marketing and business development plans designed to maximize venues’ awareness, engagement and, above all, member, owner, and guest experience. 
  • Identify and implement strategies to grow awareness, engagement and daily traffic/interaction. 
  • Research and remain aware of competitor and similar venue strategies being utilized with the strategic region and internationally. 
  • Verify that venues’ business plans are aligned with Genesis global brand strategies and GMNA objectives. 
  • Develop revenue generating strategies for brand venues, including identifying new business leads, developing event opportunities and partnerships, and actively pursuing leads with business development, and guest experience team. 
  • Lead review of future brand venues in the United States and partners with global headquarters and GMNA leadership team to strategically identify and select locations/venues that support the Genesis brand goals. 
  • Monitor business related data including revenue, profitability, expenses, cash flow, event performance, partnership alignment, guest experience satisfaction, employee engagement, and retailer alignment. 
  • Ensure Brand Center operates within budgetary guidelines and achieves cash flow and profit margin goals. 
  • Establish a revenue strategy inclusive of development and maintenance of effective pricing strategies, seasonality, economy, guest segments, brand center’s objectives, and guest satisfaction. 
  • Effectively hire, train, motivate, develop, and retain staff. Utilize the diverse talents of direct reports by efficiently managing time, materials and budget while focusing on the goals and vision of the company. 
  • Support other ad hoc projects, as necessary. 
  • Critical decision making in Brand Centers strategy and operations. 
  • Responsible for performance management and development of any assigned direct reports. 
  • Conduct hiring interviews, make hiring recommendations, and extend approved hiring offers. 
  • Approve all time off, training, expense reporting, and miscellaneous spending for team. 
  • Managerial decision making for vendors supporting venues. 
  • Budget authority for all Brand Center Cost Centers. 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Bachelor’s degree required. 
  • Master’s degree a plus. 
  • Fifteen or more years hospitality, experiential marketing, and/or brand development experience. 
  • Supervisory experience required.  
  • Luxury experience required. 
  • Experience in successfully managing operational vendor partners and event professionals. 
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to set KPIs and have vision to create, lead, promote, and facilitate all brand venue operations. 
  • Strong leadership and people management skills with. 
  • Experience collaborating with internal and external resources in developing and/or contributing to strategic initiatives that meet department goals within budget and established timelines. 
  • Project management experience. 
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically while working in a dynamic, team environment. 

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $215,000 - $265,000 annual base salary
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
  • Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.

OTHER DETAILS

Physical requirements: Normal office duties.

Travel: International and Domestic overnight business travel required (15 - 30%).

Night and weekend work. 

Work Model: Hyundai/Genesis is currently in a temporary hybrid work model. Please note that we will be transitioning to a 100% onsite work model effective Monday, July 28, 2025.
