WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Sr. Manager, Genesis House & Studios is a key marketing and operations leader on the Genesis House team in New York City with responsibility to manage and assist with the implementation of strategic initiatives and key deliverables of an optimal, brand and guest experience, marketing plan development and execution. The Sr. Manager will bring creativity and an understanding of the New York City media, lifestyle and cultural landscape while helping implement U.S. and global Genesis brand initiatives. Well-versed in agency management and ability to work with partners across PR, social, web, production, culinary and more, the Sr. Manager is a key Genesis House & Studios team member responsible for increasing awareness, engagement, and financial performance.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manage/explore new business opportunities; develop marketing plans designed to maximize brand and venue awareness, engagement and, above all, owner, and guest experience.
- Works proactively with brand management, internal staff, business partners, and marketing teams to develop revenue generating strategies for venues, including identifying and pursuing new business leaders, developing event partnerships, creating business development opportunities and leveraging KSA optimization of guest experience teams.
- Maintains strict adherence and alignment with Genesis U.S. and global strategic plans for cohesive brand awareness and messaging.
- Lead internal staff, vendors, and support teams by holding them accountable for timely achievement of goals, adherence to performance expectations and brand awareness.
- Guest and Public Relations Management.
- Conducts best practices monitoring and benchmarking of key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure proper business oversight reviewing data analytics that impact P&L, profit and loss, cashflow, event revenue performance and customer satisfaction.
- Evaluates key success factors including survey results and feedback on event performance, partnership alignment, guest experience & satisfaction, retailer expectations and employee engagement.
- Analyzes business information in real time to proactively address changing market conditions.
- Ensures Brand Center operates within budgetary guidelines and achieves cash flow and profit margin goals.
- Uses business information to identify indicators of product and service successes and opportunities for improvement; integrates business information into business plans.
- Interacts with guests, owners, and members (influencers) on a frequent basis to obtain feedback about their experiences on property.
- Serves as passionate brand advocate, ensuring brand essence is integrated throughout guest experience.
- Communicates a clear and consistent message regarding Brand Center and Genesis brand goals to leadership team, employees, members, and guests; serves as a role model by demonstrating exceptional work ethic and service delivery for all employees.
- Champions change, flexibility, and adaptability.
- Inspires and motivates the team to achieve operational excellence.
- Responsible for performance management and development of any assigned direct reports.
- Approve all time off, training, expense reporting, and miscellaneous spending for team.
- Conduct hiring interviews, make hiring recommendations, extend approved hiring offers.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree a plus.
- Eight or more years of brand, luxury, agency, or hospitality experience is required.
- Supervisory experience is required.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability to set goals and have a vision to create, leads, promote and facilitate all operations.
- Strong leadership and people management skills with experience in uniting an operations team and event professionals – full time and temporary staff – to achieve successful outcomes.
- Experience collaborating with internal and external resources in developing and/or contributing to strategic initiatives that meet department goals within budget and established timelines.
- Project management experience.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to think critically while working in a dynamic team environment.
- Successful track record of managing vendor relationships.
- Ability to conceptualize big ideas and see ideas through to execution.
- Highly motivated and decisive individual who is self-directed yet works well in a team.
