WHAT YOU WILL DO
- The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning the business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a business partner to leadership on human resource-related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs and develops integrated solutions. The position formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added service to leadership and employees that reflects the business objectives of the organization. The HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s strategic plans, its’ culture, and its’ goals.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Build and maintain trusted advisor relationships with assigned business units through regular engagement.
- Provide day-to-day performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
- Ensure HR administration consistency, data integrity, and compliance with policies and procedures.
- Partner with leadership and employees to improve relationships, boost morale, and enhance productivity and retention.
- Coach managers and employees on performance and misconduct issues; recommend appropriate actions, including progressive discipline or termination.
- Support HR Business Partner Manager and contribute to HRBP team projects and initiatives.
- Provide guidance on restructures, workforce planning, succession planning, and talent reviews.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition during recruiting, including interview participation.
- Support Talent Management processes, including performance evaluations and organizational planning.
- Identify training needs, support development programs, and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Manage separation processes, including exit interviews, documentation, and payroll coordination.
- Maintain knowledge of employment laws to ensure compliance and mitigate risk; collaborate with Legal as needed.
- Analyze HR metrics and trends to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Provide HR policy guidance, develop SOPs, and support process improvements.
- Make recommendations on employee actions, restructuring, and training; hold signing authority for transfers and promotions.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must have a high school diploma.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Five or more years of direct HR experience is required.
- OEM industry experience preferred.
- Broad knowledge of HR functions to exercise sound judgment in decision making.
- Experience in Employee Relations with specific experience in grievance and conflict resolution.
- PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRBP certification desired.
- Proven planning, priority setting, and time management skills
- Ability to quickly build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers.
- Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Flexible, self-starter, able to manage multiple ongoing projects without close supervision in a fast-paced environment.
- A demonstrated team-orientation with all levels of employee
- Problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU
- Compensation Range: $75,400 - $104,000
- Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
- Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
