WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Manage purchasing operations for assigned Business Units, driving maximum value, cost effectiveness, and strategic sourcing outcomes.
  • Partner with stakeholders through early engagement to provide purchasing guidance, promote best practices, and support the planning and execution of complex initiatives.
  • Lead financial analysis and support strategic management of Hyundai affiliate relationships (Innocean, Glovis, Mobis, and Hyundai AutoEver) by driving budget forecasting, spend analysis, KPI reporting, financial modeling, and data-driven recommendations that support negotiations, cost optimization, and management decision-making

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Collaborate with Business Division leadership and Purchasing management to develop strategic sourcing plans, analyze business initiatives, and support key projects aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by partnering with Business Divisions to identify qualified suppliers, develop specifications, define scopes of work, and leverage enterprise-wide opportunities to maximize value and efficiency.
  • Manage cross-functional affiliate workstreams by coordinating stakeholders, validating financial and operational data, resolving reporting discrepancies, developing executive presentations and analyses, and ensuring alignment of business requirements, reporting methodologies, and contractual obligations across internal departments and affiliate partners.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of contract development, negotiation, and administration, including the preparation of comprehensive scopes of work and service agreements.
  • Drive cost savings, cost avoidance, and value enhancement initiatives related to Marketing, Sales, and other assigned business functions through strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Promote proactive procurement engagement by influencing stakeholders to involve Purchasing early in the planning and decision-making process.
  • Serve as a trusted business advisor to assigned Business Divisions, providing strategic procurement expertise, market intelligence, and risk management guidance.
  • Develop, maintain, and strengthen supplier relationships through regular performance reviews, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective supplier governance.
  • Analyze organizational purchasing requirements, market trends, industry developments, and supplier capabilities to recommend process improvements and optimize procurement strategies.
  • Prepare and present reports on spend analysis, supplier performance, cost savings, project status, and procurement metrics to support informed business decisions.
  • Demonstrate a positive attitude, strong leadership, teamwork, professionalism, work ethic, integrity, and a commitment to delivering results in a collaborative environment. 
  • Proactively identify, assess, and resolve risks, issues, and challenges that may impact business operations, strategic initiatives, or project outcomes, ensuring timely and effective solutions.
  • Escalate critical issues to management as appropriate to ensure visibility, alignment, informed decision-making, and evaluation of alternative courses of action.
  • Participate in the recruitment, interviewing, evaluation, and selection process for new team members, contributing to the development of a high-performing organization.
  • Exercise delegated Purchase Order approval authority for expenditures up to $100,000 in accordance with company policies and procurement governance requirements.
  • Perform work directly related to the management, administration, and strategic operation of procurement and business functions.
  • Exercise a high degree of discretion, independent judgment, and decision-making authority in managing matters of significance that impact business performance, financial results, and organizational objectives.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus. 
  • Five or more years of experience in the procuring commodities, equipment, or services.
  • Five or more years of experience in the development, negotiation, or administration of contracts. 
  • Experienced with purchasing/accounting/financial systems.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Advanced written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Advanced negotiation and cost/price analysis skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Access, and experience with SAP Purchasing software is preferred.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $75,400.00 - $104,000.00 annual base salary
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
  • Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
