WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Controller will oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, incentive accounting, vehicle accounting, parts and warranty accounting, payroll, fixed assets, financial reporting, and internal controls.  

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Manage daily operations of sub-accounting functions, including Accounts Payable, General Accounting, Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Vehicle and Parts Accounting, through subordinate managers.
  • Oversee monthly financial close and reporting to make certain that all reports are accurate, timely and consistent with statutory and corporate requirements. This includes preparation of IFRS reporting packages and annual consolidated US GAAP financial statements as well as other management and regulatory reporting. 
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets, manage risks, and ensure the integrity of financial information.
  • Manage quarterly reviews and annual audit of financial statements performed by external auditors and Korean ICFR (K-SOX) compliance audit.
  • Interpret and apply IFRS and US GAAP to ensure compliance with accounting principles.
  • Assist executive management and business divisions in decision making and forecasting, coordinate to manage non-recurring, critical program accounting, and support various business, contractual arrangements.
  • Design, improve and maintain general ledger and related systems. This requires extensive interface with data processing personnel and others to improve the collection and flow of data.
  • Interface with employees at all levels as well as parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, auditors, dealers, suppliers, bankers, etc.
  • Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluation of staff. 
     

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

Must be a high school graduate.
Bachelor’s degree required.
Master’s degree a plus.
Fifteen plus years of experience of which at least eight years are directly related experience in finance.
7 years or more of supervisory experience desired.

Requires thorough knowledge of accounting principles and methods including data processing applications. 
Excellent verbal and written communications skills are required.

CPA certification required.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $215,000.00 - $265,000.00 annual base salary
