Intern, Mobility & Connectivity

The primary objective of the Intern, Mobility & Connectvity is to enhance Hyundai Motor America’s (HMA) value proposition for the 1) Auto Co-Brand Credit Card and 2) Mobility’s programs' user experience. This will be achieved by analyzing and formulating a strategy for enhanced marketing and partnership strategies for the new co-brand credit card and developing a roadmap to improve the customer journey and experience for all of Mobility’s digital programs (FoD, ICP, Alexa, Wi-Fi + Streaming & App Marketplace).  

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Conduct UI/UX audits of Mobility’s digital services and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Analyze customer journey data and feedback to inform design and experience enhancements. 
  • Support the development of a marketing strategy for the Auto Co-Brand Credit Card, including partnership opportunities. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as Product Planning, Marketing, and Digital Business Planning to align recommendations with business goals. 
  • Prepare and deliver a final presentation summarizing key findings and strategic recommendations. 
  • Provide support for any additional mobility-related strategy requests that align with the internship program’s goals. 

 

Project Proposal:

  • Develop a market strategy for co-brand credit card and a strategy to enhance UI/UX for digital cockpit features and services.
  • The intern will conduct UI/UX analysis, identifying pain points in the customer journey, and proposing enhancements for digital touchpoints such as the App Store, Wi-Fi + Streaming, FoD, and ICP. The intern will also support the development of a strategic marketing plan for the Auto Co-Brand Credit Card.
  • Acquire a solid understanding of Hyundai and Genesis’ in-vehicle digital experience strategies and how these align with broader HMNA business objectives. Gain a comprehensive understanding of Hyundai’s Mobility digital ecosystem and its alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations to improve customer engagement and satisfaction through enhanced UI/UX and marketing strategies. The intern will present an overview of the project and key recommendations at the end of the internship to Hyundai management. 

 

Additional Notes:

  • Available for a full-time paid internship in June to August 2026   
  • Local to Fountain Valley, CA (no relocation or housing will be offered) 
  • Must be eligible to work up to 40 hours per week
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis during the internship   
  • Visa sponsorship is not available   
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (Monday-Friday) 
  • Compensation: $25.00/Hour

 

Education:

  • Must be a high school graduate
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree program in related field

 

Skills/Knowledge:

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently, especially in a project environment with ambiguity. 
  • Strong quantitative and analytical abilities, with proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, and the capacity to quickly grasp new concepts.
