WHAT YOU WILL DO

As the Manager of Advanced Pricing Strategy for Genesis, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of one of the industry’s most dynamic luxury brands. You will lead the development of strategic pricing recommendations for Genesis’ upcoming vehicle lineup, ensuring each model is positioned to compete effectively in a rapidly evolving market.

Your work will be grounded in competitive analysis and benchmarking, helping define pricing strategies that reflect customer expectations, brand aspirations, and financial objectives. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams—including Product Planning, Sales, Finance, and Genesis Global Headquarters—to align pricing decisions with product vision, market trends, and business goals.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead the development of strategic pricing proposals for select future Genesis models, ensuring alignment with brand positioning, financial goals, and market dynamics.
  • Conduct in-depth competitive analysis and benchmarking to deliver insightful pricing recommendations.
  • Identify and define pricing strategies for new ‘whitespace’ opportunities, optimizing positioning to support Genesis’ image, volume, and profitability aspirations.
  • Serve as a key contributor to the pricing leadership team, providing expertise on the competitive landscape and pricing trends within the premium automotive market.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Genesis Global Headquarters, North American Product Planning, Finance, and U.S. Sales divisions to integrate vehicle packaging, financial targets, and sales objectives into pricing strategies.
  • Monitor and measure Genesis pricing performance relative to competitive sets, ensuring pricing remains market-relevant and brand-consistent.
  • Analyze current market trends, transaction price movements, and maintain pricing databases to support business case development.
  • Support feature and component valuation discussions through detailed analysis, contributing to strategic negotiations and product planning decisions.
  • Manage pricing-related consulting engagements to enhance Genesis’ long-term pricing strategy and execution.
  • Respond to ad-hoc pricing strategy requests with timely, data-driven analysis and recommendations.
  • Utilize full access to cost, product specifications, and planning data to develop pricing recommendations for executive approval.
  • Recommend pricing levels based on a comprehensive analysis of forecasted volume, competitive practices, incentive strategies, margin requirements, and sales efficiency.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Six or more years of experience, with at least 4 years directly related to quantitative and competitive analyses.
  • Automotive OEM experience preferred.
  • Experience in pricing consumer products preferred.
  • Self-starter, ability to navigate an ambiguous product environment to define future model positioning within current product whitespace.
  • Possess an analytical mindset with knowledge of analytical trends, competitive analysis, benchmarking, and an understanding of pricing strategy.
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills, with advanced knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Vacation and sick time off
  • Healthcare insurance (medical, dental, and vision)
  • 401(K) company match
  • Additional 401(K) Employer Enhanced Contribution program – eligible after 1 year of employment, in addition to the regular employer matching contribution
  • Basic life insurance, short- and long-term disability
  • Mental health, wellbeing, and employee assistance program
