WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The Manager, Experiential Marketing supports the Sr. Group Manager in the strategic development and end-to-end execution of Hyundai’s experiential marketing programs, ensuring activations are on brand, on strategy, and delivered with operational excellence. This role builds and maintains experiential platforms—including auto shows and events, sponsorship and hospitality activations, corporate events, sports marketing initiatives, and immersive brand experiences—that strengthen consumer connection and drive measurable outcomes such as increased brand awareness, consideration, brand perception, and dealer traffic. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead planning and end-to-end execution of experiential programs (auto shows, events, sponsorship activations, and hospitality), including strategy, budgeting, timelines, and vendor coordination, delivering programs on time, on brand, and within budget.
  • Develop and recommend program objectives, thematic direction, overall look and feel, and activation tactics; escalate for approval per governance.
  • Create immersive brand experiences that increase awareness, consideration, and strengthen Hyundai brand identity with measurable results.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on program performance, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Social, CRM, Digital, PR, Sales, Dealer Development, and external agencies to ensure seamless integration.
  • Support dealer engagement through experiential initiatives that drive showroom traffic and sales opportunities.
  • Oversee Hyundai alliances and sponsorships (entertainment, sports, integrated media partners), researching and evaluating innovative consumer touchpoints.
  • Manage and optimize a multi-million-dollar experiential marketing budget; demonstrate flexibility and efficiency in changing economic conditions.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and multiple agencies/vendors; define roles, provide strategic direction, and manage performance.
  • Handle day-to-day budget tracking, contracts, and purchasing in accordance with company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with executives, regional leadership, dealers, partners, consumers, and media; deliver timely executive communications and recaps.
  • Operate independently with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience) a plus.
  • At least six years of work experience with at least five years in marketing, promotions, experiential, hospitality, or event marketing required.
  • Automotive and/or agency experience a plus.
  • Experience managing agencies and vendors, including scopes of work, timelines, and budgets required.
  • Experience leading cross-functional project teams without direct authority (influence-based leadership) required.
  • Strong project management skills in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment across multiple concurrent programs.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready recaps and presentations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfort working with project plans, trackers, and reporting tools.

  • Physical requirements: Normal office duties.
  • Extensive travel required, sometimes with short notice for events and shoots up to 70-80% of the time.
