WORK MODEL
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide professional expertise and leadership for the Vehicle Accounting Department, including accounts receivable, company vehicle accounting, and dealer program accounting.
- Serve as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders by providing and obtaining information needed to track company performance and support required reporting schedules.
- Apply technical accounting expertise, employee relations judgment, and management skills to lead the department and interact effectively with employees, auditors, dealers, vendors, affiliates, and related financial institutions.
- Evaluate, recommend, and document system improvements that strengthen internal controls and improve operational efficiency. Develop business requirements for vehicle and warranty system modifications and new system projects.
- Work independently and exercise sound judgment in matters related to Accounts Receivable, Dealer Programs, and Factory Billing (ACL/ACM). Supervision is provided directly and specifically when needed.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Oversee accounts receivable accounting functions, including planning, organizing, training, and evaluating personnel.
- Oversee vehicle-generated accounts receivable, dealer drafts, cash processing, wholesale return reimbursements, and related accounting activities.
- Oversee monthly dealer account statements and reimbursements for dealers with credit balances.
- Oversee collection efforts for dealer, non-dealer, and affiliate accounts.
- Oversee company car inventory, depreciation, physical inventory, and related recommendations.
- Track and monitor factory claims processing, billings, reimbursements, and account eliminations.
- Oversee dealer program accounting, dealer credit processing support, and financial reporting.
- Design and implement system enhancements to improve accuracy, efficiency, and reporting.
- Prepare, review, approve, and post monthly journal entries.
- Participate in month-end close activities including SAP transaction processing, reconciliations, and financial schedule preparation.
- Ensure timely completion of account reconciliations and resolution of discrepancies.
- Support preparation of vehicle sales, cost, margin, KFIN, Allocated P&L, and M2M reports.
- Support KPMG quarterly reviews and annual audits through PBC schedules, analyses, and audit support.
- Maintain consistency of PBC reporting schedules and streamline reporting processes.
- Assist with Finance Department records retention and disposition programs.
- Manage direct reports, including workload allocation, development, hiring, and performance evaluations.
- Approve ITSM requests supporting system corrections and performance improvements.
- Perform work related to management and general business operations requiring discretion and independent judgment.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Master’s degree a plus.
- Six or more years of experience, including at least five years of directly related accounting experience.
- Prior supervisory experience desired.
- Thorough knowledge of general and cost accounting methods and principles, including data processing applications (particularly perpetual inventory systems and Microsoft Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to formally present financial information related to accounts receivable, vehicle inventory, and cost of sales.
- Considerable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including the ability to use spreadsheets to automate reporting requirements.
- AS400 and SAP system expertise in areas including sales and distribution and receivables.
- Working knowledge of SQL, QMF query language, and Access database methods is strongly desired.
- Working knowledge of inventory control.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to think critically.
- Knowledge of SAP CO/PA and FI strongly desired.

- Compensation Range: $91,000.00 - $130,000.00 annual base salary
