WHAT YOU WILL DO
This position supports Hyundai Motor North America’s financial planning and profitability analysis activities by providing model-level financial insights, pricing analysis, and market competitiveness assessments. The role partners cross-functionally to support pricing decisions, incentive strategy, and overall business performance for Hyundai and Genesis vehicles.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Prepare, analyze, and present monthly model-level income statements for Hyundai and Genesis vehicles against budget, including variance analysis and executive-ready reporting for Regional Headquarters leadership.
- Partner cross-functionally with business units to understand cost structures, pricing assumptions, and market conditions to support pricing strategy and profitability decisions.
- Analyze incentive programs across the North American vehicle portfolio to assess financial impact, competitiveness, and alignment with sales and profitability objectives.
- Monitor and report key business metrics, including pricing, FOB changes, and profitability trends across Hyundai and Genesis models.
- Evaluate Hyundai and Genesis pricing competitiveness relative to market and competitor activity and develop pricing recommendations based on business objectives and market conditions.
- Support profitability planning for new model launches by identifying opportunities to improve margin, pricing strategy, and financial performance.
- Coordinate with Hyundai entities across North America and Hyundai Motor Company to gather and share market, industry, and financial insights that support planning and decision-making.
- Support ad hoc analyses, special projects, and executive presentations requested by Regional Headquarters CFO and Hyundai Motor Company.
- This role performs day-to-day tasks and analyses in alignment with defined processes and under general direction.
- Decision-making authority does not extend to matters of significance related to management or general business operations.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred.
- Four or more years of directly related experience in Finance.
- Large, multinational organization experience preferred.
- Requires an understanding of accounting and financial analysis principles and methods. Demonstrated experience interpreting financial reports and financial plan.
- Strong analytical skills required.
- Understanding cost structure in automobile production industry.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU
- Compensation Range: $63,800 - $88,000 annual base salary
- Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
- Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
