WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Senior Group Manager, AI Strategy is responsible for executing the enterprise strategy for Generative AI and agentic AI across Hyundai Motor North America (HMNA), translating business priorities into scalable AI products, automation, and measurable value.
  • Establish the enterprise vision, roadmap, and operating model for GenAI products, including chatbots, and autonomous or semi-autonomous agents that augment decisions and execute work within business processes.
  • Lead the transition from 'AI for insight' to 'AI for action' by embedding intelligent agents into workflows to plan, decide, execute, learn, and collaborate with employees under appropriate human oversight.
  • Support the enterprise GenAI product portfolio, prioritizing use cases based on strategic alignment, business value, feasibility, risk, and readiness while ensuring effective investment and resource allocation.
  • Champion responsible AI adoption by establishing policy, risk controls, data-grounding requirements, evaluation standards, human-in-the-loop safeguards, and lifecycle governance in partnership with Legal, Privacy, Security, IT, and Data Governance.
  • Drive business integration and adoption.
  • Build strategic partnerships across Hyundai Motor Group, HMNA business units, technology teams, and external providers to accelerate innovation, reuse enterprise capabilities, and maintain alignment with corporate strategy.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Lead the identification, prioritization, delivery, and lifecycle management of GenAI products, including chatbots, copilots, workflow agents, and autonomous or semi-autonomous multi-agent solutions.
  • Own the enterprise multi-agent framework and GenAI product architecture, establishing reusable patterns and standards for LLMs, RAG, tool calling, orchestration, memory, grounding, evaluation, observability, and human oversight.
  • Partner with business leaders to redesign high-value workflows for AI-driven task execution and decision augmentation, translating business needs into scalable products with clear ownership, controls, and adoption plans.

  • Lead responsible AI governance in partnership with Legal, Privacy, Cybersecurity, IT, Risk, and Data Governance, including policy, model and vendor risk, data use, traceability, testing, approval, and incident management requirements.
  • Set enterprise evaluation and performance standards for AI products, including task success, response quality, groundedness, reliability, safety, latency, cost, user adoption, automation rate, and business value realization.
  • Drive platform and vendor strategy for LLMs and GenAI services, balancing capability, interoperability, security, data protection, scalability, cost, and avoidance of unnecessary vendor lock-in.
  • Build an enterprise AI product community and center-of-excellence capability that provides reference architectures, reusable components, delivery playbooks, training, and coaching to enable business and technology teams.
  • Measure success through task completion, automation rate, cycle-time reduction, employee adoption, quality, and realized return on AI investment.
  • Develop executive-level reporting for the AI portfolio, communicating delivery status, value realization, adoption, risk, investment needs, dependencies, and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams and external partners, managing talent, budgets, delivery commitments, and organizational change while fostering innovation, accountability, and responsible experimentation.
  • Monitor emerging GenAI and agentic AI capabilities and translate relevant developments into practical enterprise opportunities, standards, and roadmap recommendations.
  • Local department operating authority as defined by HMA HR/Finance policy.
