WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The Senior Group Manager, Corporate & Internal Communications is a dynamic, hands-on leader responsible for shaping and executing the company’s internal and external communications strategy.
  • This “strike team” leader is a master storyteller, business-savvy communicator, and trusted advisor to senior leadership, capable of pivoting across multiple communications disciplines and driving impactful messaging for diverse audiences across regions.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Strategic Leadership & Multi-Disciplinary Execution

  • Lead the development and implementation of integrated communications strategies that support business objectives, brand reputation, and employee engagement across North America and international markets.
  • Act as a “strike team” leader—quickly mobilizing resources and expertise to address urgent communications needs, special projects, and crisis situations.
  • Wear multiple hats, seamlessly blending functions such as executive communications, media relations, internal communications, and change management.

Internal Communications & Employee Engagement

  • Design and deliver compelling internal communications programs that inform, inspire, and connect employees at all levels.
  • Partner with HR, business leaders, and global teams to drive culture, change initiatives, and organizational alignment.
  • Develop and manage content for executive town halls, leadership messages, intranet, and employee campaigns.
  • Measure and report on the effectiveness of internal communications, using data to drive continuous improvement.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, inclusion, and two-way communication.

Corporate Communications & External Relations

  • Oversee the development of external communications, including press releases, executive speeches, presentations, and media statements.
    Serve as a company spokesperson and trusted advisor to senior leadership on all matters of reputation, crisis, and brand positioning.
  • Build and maintain relationships with media, industry groups, and key external stakeholders.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging across all channels and regions, collaborating closely with marketing, PR, and global communications teams.
  • Lead or support high-impact events, product launches, and executive visibility initiatives.

Business Partnership & Strategic Counsel

  • Advise the CEO, executive team, and business leaders on communications strategy, messaging, and organizational priorities.
  • Translate complex business strategies into clear, compelling narratives for both internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (HR, Legal, Operations, Sales, etc.) to ensure communications support business goals and compliance requirements.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of innovation, agility, and accountability.
  • Manage agency and vendor relationships as needed.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must have a high school diploma.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Master’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • Ten or more years of experience in corporate communications, with significant experience in both internal and external communications.
  • International experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry a plus.
  • Exceptional English writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
  • Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary communications teams and manage complex projects.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate strategy into action.
  • Experience working with senior executives and advising on sensitive or high-impact issues.
  • Advanced presentation and visual communications skills (PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, and global environment.
  • High integrity, professionalism, and discretion.
