WHAT YOU WILL DO
- This position will lead new business opportunities in the Mobility and Connectivity space.
- Identify and implement new strategic business initiatives and develop partnerships / plans that are aligned Hyundai’s overall business objectives.
- Contribute to the development of Hyundai’s long-term SDV strategy.
- Support development of advanced, in-vehicle technologies to improve vehicle ownership experience.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Identify new growth platforms and opportunities within the mobility and connectivity space.
- Deliver next generation connected car services.
- Research and analyze new technologies.
- Create and deliver compelling business cases for new strategic opportunities.
- Project management – execution of strategic initiatives in a well-defined, highly organized, and effective manner.
- Create presentations for consistent internal updates of key initiatives.
- Monitor progress of deployed business plans and identify required changes using metrics, roadmaps, dashboards and financials.
- Highly effective organizational communication and alignment to ensure buy-in on strategic initiatives.
- Identify, synthesize, and communicate key trends across industries, segments, regions, and competitors.
- Develop business models and plans to advance the organization in alignment with strategic direction.
- Lead new strategic partnership opportunities.
- Ensure strategic partnerships align with corporate objectives.
- Partner with Hyundai cross-functional leaders to ensure there is alignment, feedback, and deep understanding of external environmental factors (e.g., technology, customer needs, regulations, competitors, etc.).
- Identify business opportunities that align with corporate strategic objectives.
- Interface directly with other departments to provide requests and guidelines and obtain appropriate information.
- Determine format and content of analytical and strategic recommendations.
- Responsible for the evaluation, hiring, and full supervision of direct reports.
- Create presentation of findings and recommendations to key executives.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s degree a plus.
- Ten or more years of OEM experience in engineering or planning, with emphasis on technology planning.
- Five or more years of automotive experience in connectivity, electrification, or mobility space.
- At least three years of supervisory experience desired.
- Strong in-depth automotive knowledge and an understanding of the mobility space, including electric vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of in-vehicle technologies related to connectivity.
- Excellent analytical skills - use both quantitative and qualitative data to create a broad, dynamic view of the market and synthesize the underlying insights of the data.
- Strong project management skills.
- Adept at identifying key consumer insights and developing them into actionable strategies.
- Effective knowledge of automotive strategy and market research activities.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, with the ability to influence a wide range of management levels, both inside and outside of HMA.
- Proven track record presenting complex analyses in straightforward, digestible formats to influence executive decision-making.
- Thorough computer skills, with proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel and MTAB.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous projects.
WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU
- Compensation Range: $149,800 - $214,000 annual base salary
- Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
- Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
