WHAT YOU WILL DO
Responsible for all National Distribution Operations activities: Vehicle Allocation, Manifest/Shipping, Compliance, regional support and overall vehicle pipeline management.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Manage National Inventory across all regions, plants, ports, vehicle processing centers to support national sales goals.
- Vehicle Allocation: The position impacts “mission critical” business processes that directly impact corporate cash flow, dealer relations and legal compliance. Accuracy, completeness and understanding the complexity of linked processes is essential to successfully execute this position.
- System Management: Oversees the accuracy of the distribution system as it pertains to functions such as allocation logic, new model set up, pricing, wholesale release and communication with production plants. Constant audit of the vehicle pipeline to discover system and data errors and communicate with IT for resolution. Responsible for effectively communicating with stakeholders regarding scheduling and necessary testing to meet essential system input requirements, ensuring that vehicle release and launch dates are achieved as planned.
- Legal & Compliance: Direct impact on dealer Monroney, MSO, Invoice accuracy and generation. Ancillary labels and legal disclosures are also systematically linked to Distribution Operations. Ensure accurate and complete information to these processes.
- Manifesting & Receiving: Oversees the process of receiving vehicles into HMA inventory. The expeditious and accurate addition of VIN records enables increased wholesale velocity and corporate cash flow.
- Order & Tracking: Communication with various production control entities begins the ordering process. Monitor order status, completion, and timeliness. The production tracking and prioritization of vehicle retail and fleet orders, enables HMA management to optimize ground stock availability.
- Regional Interface: Communicate operations related issues with regional staff while gathering field personnel input. Scope of discussion includes topics such as allocation status, vehicle transfers, production constraints, production delays, spec changes, and system issues.
- Executive Support: Provide executives with summary and actionable reports on a routine and Ad Hoc basis.
- National expert for Allocation system, including legal review, in-depth logic understanding, system maintenance and enhancements to ensure fair and equitable distribution of all HMA vehicles.
- Manage, monitor and improve Domestic and Korean plant build rates, back orders and communications.
- Control and manage the manifest and shipping process to ensure timely delivery of all vehicles to ports.
- Develop, review and manage all monthly and ad-hoc Distribution reporting to executive management, finance and other departments.
- Review Regional pipeline for accuracy.
- Manage Vehicle Master process to assure pricing, Monroney label, dealer invoice and MSO accuracy.
- Supervise, direct activities and train department staff.
- Maintain department budget within established guidelines.
- Mentor and train Regional Distribution Managers in OTD/SAP/Production Orders/Allocation process.
- Coordinate Distribution System enhancements and modifications with IT.
- Responsible for approving Time Off Requests for distribution operations section.
- Responsible for approving Equipment/Software requests for distribution operations section.
- Responsible for completing the Performance Goals/Evaluations for distribution operations section.
- Provide management with quality information and recommendations to facilitate decision making.
- Backup and support Sr. Group Manager, Distribution as required.
- Attend Regional Meetings to train field reps on OTD and SAP system and reports.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Master's degree a plus
- Eight or more years of wholesale related automotive experience with demonstrated abilities in direct dealer contacts.
- Two to three years of supervisory experience desired.
- Demonstrated abilities in SAP, CAARS and database management.
- Excellent analytical and system skills are required.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- SAP query ability.
- Strong computer skills Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Copilot.
WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU
- Compensation Range: $107,800 - $154,000 annual base salary
- Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
- Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
