WHAT YOU WILL DO
Provide strategic planning and operational leadership to manage all aspects of National Rental Fleet sales, achieving annual sales targets, building and maintaining long term relationships, and positioning HMA as a quality provider of exceptional products and customer service.
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Direct responsibility for attainment of Fleet monthly, quarterly, and annual departmental sales and wholesale objectives.
- Direct responsibility to exceed monthly/annual Fleet sales objectives as needed to attain overall corporate sales goals.
- Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales above stated objectives.
- Plan, prepare and execute Fleet production orders for all models, plants, and ports of entry, successfully timed for delivery to meet customer requirements while achieving corporate sales goals.
- Set weekly physical build prioritization guidelines for domestic plants.
- Long term production and sales forecasting.
- Management and disposition of estimated $3.5 billion annual vehicle inventory.
- Monitor wholesale floor lines to insure adequate vehicle funding.
- Articulate terms of individual sales for daily rental account contracts, and any required amendments. Close collaboration with HMA Legal to form contracts that meet the unique intent and spirit of each rental sale.
- Develop and maintain relationships with fleet customers, providing industry-leading customer service.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external partners/affiliates/vendors to achieve departmental goals.
- Set departmental best practices to meet/exceed customer expectations.
- Set departmental best practices to manage vehicle flow, manage exceptions, and create audit trails.
- Plan and prepare monthly vehicle allocations to ensure timely vehicle deliveries.
- Manage daily operations while ensuring compliance with corporate policies and contractual conditions.
- Direct responsibility for departmental data accuracy involving vehicle pricing, incentives, repurchase valuations, vehicle depreciation, buyback terms as appropriate, and draft schedules.
- Deep understanding of SAP architecture, transactional cause and effect, alignment of business objectives vs. system capabilities. Provide alternatives and workarounds to achieve corporate goals outside normal systems processes.
- Assume leadership position for major SAP systems development projects. Identify business requirements and coordinate user acceptance testing schedules. Recommend scenarios and engage in systems stress tests, validate data integrity, and identify deficiencies during testing phase. Oversee resultant change requests and approve final product for deployment to production. Monitor performance post-deployment.
- Assume leadership position in troubleshooting existing SAP systems applications, while identifying enhancement opportunities. Collaborate with HAE to resolve.
- Manage and develop the performance of direct reports.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to attain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
- Production decisions for a Model Year Program.
- Daily operations decisions to include problem resolution, setting priorities for logistics providers, department resources, HMA affiliates and partners, and direct reports.
- Define business requirements for the development of new SAP functions as business evolves.
- Define business requirements for modification of existing SAP systems to enhance efficiency.
- Define business terms to be articulated in daily rental contracts.
- Initiate stock transfers and cross-ships to meet delivery schedules.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE
- Must be a high school graduate.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Eight plus years of automotive experience with five years in fleet or distribution preferred.
- Three to five years of supervisory experience desired.
- Outstanding customer relations and interpersonal skills a must.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and mulit-task in a fast-paced, goal-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Proficient in relevant business applications (SAP, QMF, etc.).
WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU
- Compensation Range: $107,800 - $154,000 annual base salary
- Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
- Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.

Physical requirements: Normal office duties.
Travel: Overnight travel required.
Work Model: Hyundai/Genesis is currently in a temporary hybrid work model. Please note that we will be transitioning to a 100% onsite work model effective Monday, July 28, 2025.
