WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • The Senior Manager, HR Business Partner (Sr. HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units. The position serves as a consultant to executive management on human resource-related issues, driving change and organizational development. The role assesses and anticipates HR-related needs of the organization, proactively communicating these needs with our HR department and business management.
  • The Sr. Manager, HRBP develops data-driven recommendations and integrated solutions, forming partnerships across the HR function to deliver value-added services that better align executive management and employees with business objectives. Additionally, the Sr. HRBP maintains an effective level of business literacy regarding the organization’s strategic plans, culture, and goals. 

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Act as a trusted advisor to executive management, supporting business and functional strategies.
  • Lead, develop, and inspire HR teams, including HRBP Managers and Assistant Managers, in a high‑growth environment.
  • Design and implement innovative approaches to improve business objectives, productivity, and HR effectiveness.
  • Serve as an influential and credible senior HR leader, ensuring accountability and results.
  • Provide performance management guidance, including coaching, counseling, career development, and disciplinary actions.
  • Exercise independent judgment in employee relations‑related decisions.
  • Guide leaders on employee relations, conflict resolution, and scalable performance processes.
  • Provide recommendations to executive leadership on employees, restructures, and required training initiatives.
  • Contribute to organizational design, workforce planning, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Leverage data to identify trends and recommend scalable improvements to people processes.
  • Manage and sign off on approved budget allocations.
  • Provide strategic direction and advanced guidance to HRBPs.
  • Operate autonomously in complex, fast‑changing environments while monitoring employee engagement.
  • Conduct separation processes, including exit interviews, documentation, payroll coordination, and transition meetings.
  • Maintain in‑depth knowledge of employment laws to minimize risk and ensure compliance.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Eight or more years of progressive direct HR Business Partner experience is required.
  • Five or more years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Automotive OEM industry experience is preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of HR functions to exercise sound judgment in decision making.
  • Experience in Employee Relations with specific experience in grievance and conflict resolution.
  • Proven planning, priority setting, and time management skills.
  • Ability to quickly build trusting relationships, gain credibility, and partner with leaders and peers.
  • PHR, SHRM-CP, or HRBP certification desired.
  • Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict confidentiality in matters that require discretion.
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Strong change management and project management skills.
  • A demonstrated team-orientation with all levels of employees.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate, influence and optimize working relationship senior leadership and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP.

WHAT HYUNDAI CAN OFFER YOU

  • Compensation Range: $107,800 - $154,000 annual base salary
  • Monthly Hyundai/Genesis vehicle lease allowance (including insurance and maintenance)
  • Holiday Pay - the company shuts down with pay between Christmas and New Years.
