WHAT YOU WILL DO

The Senior Manager, Regional Dealer Network & Performance is tasked with effective implementation, execution, performance tracking, and management of overall Dealer performance. This role will own the responsibilities and facilitate regional implementation of the Core Operational Performance Program (COPP) to maximize dealer performance with an expectation to correct identified performance deficiencies in the areas of sales, customer experience, facility, financial health, and Dealer Sales & Service Agreement breaches.  Additionally, this role owns and manages the Regional responsibilities of the Dealer Profit Opportunity Program (DPOP) action plans and is the liaison between Regional leadership, NHQ, and dealerships in analyzing KPI’s and performance metrics.

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

  • Provide advice and direction, supported by data and HMA program knowledge, to Hyundai Dealers in achievement of sales objectives, aftersales objectives, Dealer Network and Development objectives, and related program KPI’s for optimized efficiency, profitability, brand representation, and operational excellence.
  • Responsible for setting timelines and achieving results that have a major impact on departmental, regional, and dealer performance.
  • Leads regional COPP strategy in partnership with NHQ Performance Management and Regional Leadership, including identification and recommendation of dealer participants/graduates.
  • Regionally manage the full implementation, execution, and oversight of COPP and DPOP programs, including performance diagnostics, action‑plan development with quality and compliance, timely corrective follow‑up, progress monitoring, and reporting to NHQ.
  • Oversee COPP program initiation and execution, directing meeting preparation, presentation development, district reviews, and deployment of standardized action plan tools.
  • Serves as the regional owner of all COPP communications and documentation, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and adherence to Hyundai policies and record retention standards.
  • Synthesizes dealer performance data and provides clear, executive level updates and final evaluations to Regional Leadership, NHQ Performance Management, and Legal.
  • Leads and facilitates quarterly district‑level performance reviews, partnering with District Managers and Regional Leadership to assess dealer sales, aftersales, customer experience, operational effectiveness, financial health, and progress against COPP and DPOP action plans.
  • Ensures clear documentation, actionable follow‑ups, and accountability for agreed‑upon outcomes.
  • Functions as the regional subject matter expert in dealership financial literacy, providing guidance and coaching to field staff and dealer leadership on interpreting financial statements and understanding KPI’s.
  • Oversees monthly dealership financial statement submission tracking across the region, ensuring timeliness, completeness, and accuracy of dealer financial data. Coordinates with field staff and dealer leadership to address submission gaps, identifies trends or risks, and escalates compliance or financial health concerns to Regional Leadership and NHQ as appropriate.
  • Leads the development of data driven performance plans under the DPOP, tailoring KPIs and improvement strategies to each dealer’s unique operational and financial conditions.
  • Conduct advanced analysis of market conditions, dealer performance metrics, and operational trends to inform leadership decisions and support regional planning.
  • Manages a high-quality onboarding process and continuous support to new dealers or operators which leverages strong knowledge of Hyundai programs and processes.
  • Build relationships among other regional staff with a goal to mentor and develop strategies to elevate retailer performances and KPI’s.
  • Assist at region discretion dealer performance related.
  • Authorized to formulate and present recommendations to regional leadership based on experience, data analysis, and subject matter expertise.
  • Functions in a management capacity with authority to independently direct day to day high level projects, analyses, and related activities.
  • Required to exercise discretion and independent judgment on matters of significance pertaining to dealer management practices, network operations, and general business activities.
  • Manage market representation initiatives with broad scopes and champions process improvements contributing to new established standards and elevated performance.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE

  • Must be a high school graduate.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Eight or more years of experience, of which at least five years of directly related experience in the automotive industry.
  • Leadership experience in regional management roles and demonstrated consistent impactful performance is preferred.
  • Automotive industry retail knowledge, including operational practices, market dynamics, and dealer network structures.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex performance‑improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and coaching capabilities, including experience interpreting financial statements and KPIs, guiding dealer discussions, and influencing executive‑level outcomes.
  • Advanced leadership, supervisory, and coaching capabilities, with a proven ability to develop talent, build capability, and drive performance across diverse teams and dealer partners.
  • Knowledge in automotive Sales operations, and dealership functional disciplines, including service, parts, customer care, and operational process optimization.
  • Able to understand, train, and execute national programs and act as the program owner within the region to elevate retailer performance and improve KPI’s.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive‑level influencing skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and deliver clear, concise guidance to senior leadership and dealer principals.
  • Strong financial acumen with knowledge in dealership financial literacy, understanding of profitability, and interpreting financial statements.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel for data analysis and performance tracking, PowerPoint for executive communication and presentations, and OneNote for organized documentation and collaboration.
